Suspended (2)

Last Tuesday I flew from Seattle to San Francisco and back on the same day to renew my passport. Today I finished up the one-month contract my former job had given me to train the remaining programmers how to do the tasks that were formerly mine. I have worked the last three weekends in order to make up for the time I spent during my job search. My visa paperwork has been filed, and it seems like I am all clear to start my new job.

But it will take some time to settle into the routine that allows me to draw on a regular basis, while I adjust to the ropes at my new job. (Note that my original blog, Heart’s Content, didn’t start until 2007, after I had finished my first year at my former job.) And when I do find time to draw, I have a new, important art project that takes priority over anything I have currently planned. What this means is:

All work on Guns and Roses and Lotus Cobra is Evil is suspended until January 2013.

I will post what details are allowed from my new project at the beginning of August.

Until then, I am sorry. According to Kurt Vonnegut, someone who becomes a writer is obliged to produce beauty and enlightenment and comfort at top speed, and I must fail at my obligation for now.

At least Miao Diary was completed for us, so it’s all good. It’s really too bad that the Touhou thing was not serialized.
